Halloween, All Souls, All Saints, Día de Muertos — not only the Irish, Mexicans, and Catholics, but also Bernese Protestants honour life and death.
With the exhibition Jenseits (Beyond), the Museum of Culture in Bern guides you into the dark season of the Northern Hemisphere.
Renée Magaña devotes her entire body of work to transience.
Yet her creations are not heavy, cold, or bleak — they are colourful and full of joy. She reveals to us the luminous side of death.
